The parent company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2004 and eventually expanded into industrial lasers, robotics, and automated production lines, becoming the largest listed laser equipment maker in the world by its own account.14

For a Chinese fabrication plant operating three shifts on thin margins, an unplanned two-week delay for European field service is not merely an inconvenience; it represents a direct material loss. That operational friction—rather than superior raw technology—provided Han's CNC with its market entry point. The company launched at the low end of the market, competing on price and local service proximity, and steadily expanded its footprint over two decades. The long-term impact of that expansion is evident in its current market position: in mechanical drilling, Han's CNC ranks second globally behind Schmoll; in laser drilling, it ranks second behind Mitsubishi Electric; and in its domestic market, it holds a drilling equipment share exceeding 30%.16 Achieving that position required twenty years of sustained execution in a sector where foreign incumbents held a three-decade head start.

The mechanics of that ascent reflect a deliberate, repeatable strategy that shapes the company's current cost position. First, entry-level machines featuring fewer spindles and simpler control systems were priced to lower purchasing friction for mid-tier fabricators. The Carve-Out

Han's CNC listed on the ChiNext board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on February 28, 2022, issuing 42 million shares at RMB 76.56 per share for gross proceeds of RMB 3.216 billion, with 中信证券 CITIC Securities serving as sponsor and lead underwriter.17

The carve-out did not result in operational separation. Han's Laser retained tight equity control, which remains concentrated. Ahead of the company's Hong Kong listing, the actual controller held approximately 84.39% through Han's Laser and affiliated entities.18 The H-share issuance diluted the controlling stake only modestly, with Han's Laser and 大族控股集团 Han's Holdings seeing their combined ownership move from 74.27% to 73.43% of enlarged capital.19

Going to Hong Kong

Amid improving operational results, Han's CNC returned to capital markets to execute a dual-listing strategy. The company filed for a Hong Kong listing in mid-2025 and completed the offering in early 2026. Running from January 29 to February 3, 2026, the global offering issued 50,451,800 H shares priced at HK$95.80 per share, raising HK$4,833.3 million in gross proceeds and HK$4,630.7 million in net proceeds after deducting HK$202.6 million in transaction expenses.26 Trading commenced on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on February 6, 2026, establishing Han's CNC as the first PCB equipment manufacturer with an A+H dual-listed platform.1
